My yoga style isn’t based on power and agility — not anymore.
Although it once was.
And I think that’s true for a lot of us.
In our early years, we’re drawn to yoga through the physical — through challenge, achievement, and control. It fits the yang season of our lives. That drive to push, move, and perform feels natural when we’re younger, when we’re still trying to prove something to the world (and maybe to ourselves).
But with time, my practice changed. And so did my teaching.
Yoga is deeply powerful, but not in the way we’ve been sold.
It’s not about how strong or bendy you are.
It’s not about the shape of the pose.
It’s about the shape of your awareness.
I’ve come to see yoga through the lens of somatic release and spiritual connection.
My teachings are centered in:
Learning to be in tune with your own body
Moving mindfully and with intention
Honouring the signals your nervous system is giving you
And above all, using the power of breath as a tool for recalibration
I use yoga as a way to connect to source.
To quiet the mind and move stagnant energy through the body.
To flush the issues out of our tissues — physically, emotionally, energetically.
This practice isn’t about pushing harder. It’s about softening into truth.
